A Full Arch of Teeth, Anchored in Place

If you've lost most of your teeth on the top, the bottom, or both, All-on-4 replaces the entire arch with a fixed set of teeth supported by just four dental implants. Nothing comes out at night, nothing shifts when you eat, and there is no adhesive involved. For most people, it is the closest thing to having their own teeth back.

At Titensor Dental in Flower Mound, we hear the same concern from almost every patient who comes in for a full-arch consultation: they waited too long, their bone loss is too severe, or someone already told them no. A 3D scan is what actually answers that question, and it shows us far more than a visual exam ever could.

Call us at (972) 355-9545 and we will get you in.

The Short Version, If You're Skimming

  • Multiple sedation levels are available, including IV sedation with a board-certified anesthesiologist.
  • On surgery day, any remaining teeth are removed, the implants are placed, and you leave with a temporary fixed arch — all in one appointment.
  • Bring your insurance card and any prior imaging or treatment plans to your consultation to help us get to your estimate faster.
  • Your consultation includes imaging, a clear answer on whether you qualify, and a written estimate before anything is scheduled.

What the Process Looks Like, Start to Finish

1. Consultation and 3D imaging

We start with a conversation about your dental history, what has been going on, and what you are hoping to get back. Then we take a cone beam scan, which gives us a three-dimensional picture of your jaw, bone volume, nerve position, and sinuses. That scan is what makes a real treatment plan possible.

2. Planning the surgery digitally

Using your scan, we map exactly where each implant will go before we touch a thing. The two front implants go in straight. The two rear implants are tilted, which lets them reach the denser bone that tends to remain even after tooth loss, and that usually means less grafting.

3. Surgery day

Any remaining teeth in that arch are removed, the four implants are placed, and a temporary fixed set of teeth is attached so you do not leave without teeth. This all happens in one appointment, under the sedation level you chose.

4. Healing

Over the next several months, your bone grows around the implant surfaces and bonds with them. You wear the temporary teeth through this period and follow a softer diet. Brief check-in visits let us confirm everything is on track.

5. Your final set of teeth

Once the implants are solid, we design and fit your permanent teeth. Shape, shade, and bite all get dialed in. With our in-house digital lab, that work happens here rather than being sent out.

What You Get Back

  • You can eat again. Fixed teeth work like real teeth, so steak, apples, and corn stop being off-limits.
  • Nothing moves when you talk. No clicking, no readjusting mid-sentence, no managing a denture in public.
  • Your face keeps its shape. Implants stimulate the jawbone every time you chew, which helps slow the bone loss that leaves long-term denture wearers with a sunken appearance.
  • Cleaning is straightforward. You brush and clean around a fixed arch rather than soaking an appliance every night.
  • Made to last. With good hygiene and regular checkups, implants are designed to serve you for decades.

Good Candidates, and Honest Exceptions

All-on-4 is designed for people dealing with significant tooth loss across a full arch, not someone missing one or two teeth. If any of the following sounds like your situation, you are likely a strong candidate:

  • A full row of failing, broken down, or already missing teeth
  • Years of wearing a denture that shifts, clicks, or limits what you can eat
  • A previous dentist said you didn't have enough bone for implants
  • Advanced gum disease has loosened most of the teeth on one jaw

That third point comes up more than any other, and in many cases it turns out to be wrong. Bone loss alone rarely closes the door, and a past opinion formed without 3D imaging is not the final word. Some factors do matter though: uncontrolled diabetes, active smoking, or untreated gum infection can all affect how well implants heal, and we will be straightforward with you about any of those before anything is scheduled.

The Timeline, Realistically

Most patients go from surgery to their final teeth in four to eight months, though your healing sets the pace. Here is what that time actually looks like:

  • Consultation: one visit, about an hour.
  • Surgery day: one appointment, with the rest of the day set aside for rest. Plan for a ride home if you chose oral or IV sedation.
  • First week: expect two or three days off work while swelling and soreness peak, then things settle quickly. One short follow-up visit.
  • Months two through six: life goes back to normal. Only brief check-in appointments during this stretch.
  • Final placement: a few visits for design, fit, and adjustment in our in-house lab, and then you are eating normally again.

How to Prepare, and How to Protect What You've Invested

Before surgery

We'll give you specific instructions based on your sedation choice. Plan for a driver and someone to stay with you for a few hours after. Pick up soft foods beforehand: soups, eggs, yogurt, smoothies, mashed potatoes. If you take blood thinners or anything that affects clotting, let us know well ahead of time.

The first two weeks

Use ice on the first day, rest with your head elevated, and take pain medication on schedule rather than waiting for discomfort to build. Skip straws and don't smoke. Smoking during healing is the fastest way to put an implant at risk. Gentle salt water rinses can start the day after surgery.

Long term

Your new arch needs consistent daily cleaning, just like natural teeth. Brush it normally, and use a water flosser or the specialty brushes we'll show you to clean underneath, where the arch meets your gums. Regular hygiene visits let us clean what you can't reach and make sure everything is holding up well. They're also a good time to ask any questions that come up along the way.

A Straight Answer About the Price

We don't publish a price because a real number depends on what we actually find: extractions needed, bone condition, grafting, sedation level, and final arch materials. Any figure before a consultation is a guess, not a quote.

What we can promise is a clear, itemized estimate before anything is scheduled. We'll file claims with your insurance and walk you through what your benefits cover. Most plans treat implants as a partial benefit at best, so ask about payment options when you come in and we'll go over what's available.

Who Will Be Doing This Work, and Why That Matters

Female dental professional at reception desk with warm, professional demeanor

Titensor Dental has been family-owned since Dr. Steve Titensor founded it in 1986. Dr. Brett Titensor and Dr. Mann lead day-to-day care today, and your treatment from first scan to final arch stays with the same two doctors the whole way through.

  • Dr. Brett Titensor earned his DDS from Baylor College of Dentistry, has practiced fully digital dentistry for over a decade, and teaches it nationally as a CEREC Mentor, Trainer, and Visiting Faculty for CDOCS. He spoke at Dentsply Sirona World in 2021, 2022, and 2023.
  • Dr. Mann graduated from the University of the Pacific and has trained with Spear, the Hornbrook Group, and The Pathway.
  • Dr. Steve Titensor holds Diplomate status with the International Dental Implant Association and is now semi-retired, focused on humanitarian dental work.

Everything is handled in-house using cone beam imaging, digital scanning, and our own lab. For patients who have been putting this off out of fear, IV sedation is performed with a board-certified anesthesiologist by your side. We serve Flower Mound and the surrounding communities just north of DFW airport.

Questions We Hear Before People Book

Can I get All-on-4 if I've been told I don't have enough bone?

Often, yes. A cone beam scan gives us a three-dimensional view of your jaw that a visual exam simply can't. Many patients told no elsewhere have qualified once we could actually see what was there.

What happens at the first appointment?

A conversation and a scan, not a procedure. We review your dental and medical history, take 3D imaging, and talk through your goals. Nothing is done to your teeth that day.

Does the surgery hurt?

Not during the procedure. With IV sedation, most patients have little to no memory of it. Expect some soreness and swelling for a few days after, managed with medication and clear instructions from our team.

How long will the implants last?

The implants are designed to be permanent. Bone grows around them and holds them in place over time. The arch itself can be repaired or replaced if needed. Consistent cleaning and regular checkups are what protect the long-term result.

What if I haven't seen a dentist in years?

You wouldn't be the first, and no one here will make you feel bad about it. Many of our full-arch patients came in after a long gap. We start from where you are.

One Scan Answers the Question

Knowing how All-on-4 works and knowing whether it's right for your mouth are two different things. Only a scan and a real conversation can answer the second one. Come in, get imaged, get a clear answer on whether you qualify, and leave with a written estimate based on your actual jaw, not a general guess.

If dental anxiety is part of what's kept you from moving forward, mention it when you call. We offer nitrous, oral conscious, and IV sedation, and we'll make sure the visit feels manageable from the start. We're here Monday through Thursday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., and Friday mornings until noon. Reach us at (972) 355-9545 and we'll find a time that works.
