Dental Teeth Cleaning

Good dental health requires routine dental care. Dental care begins at home with daily brushing and flossing practices. Although you brush thoroughly and floss intensely, sometimes teeth cleaning requires professional help. The Titsensor Dental staff know the most recent and effective methods and use the most up-to-date technology to provide the appropriate dental cleaning for you. Dr. Titensor or his hygienist removes the tartar that may develop in areas that are difficult for you to reach during your routine, daily brushing.

Dr. Titensor or his hygienist uses various instruments and devices throughout the dental teeth cleaning process to loosen and remove deposits from your teeth. By using tooth scaling and polishing, teeth cleaning helps to remove deposits from your teeth created by bacteria and food particles that cause cavities and gum disease.

Daily brushing and flossing of the teeth alone cannot prevent dental problems; however, when you do brush and floss daily, you help prevent additional visits to the dentist. Dr. Titensor recommends bi-annual or annual dental exams, depending on your individual dental care, incorporating teeth cleaning when necessary. In addition, good dental hygiene practices and a nutritious diet help you to avoid cavities, tarter build-up, and periodontal disease. Titensor Dental offers Periodontal Deep Cleaning for patients that have been diagnosed with periodontal disease.

Why Do I Want to Have a Dental Cleaning?

The purpose of having your teeth cleaned is to prevent gum disease, tooth loss, and maintain good oral health. During a professional teeth cleaning, Dr. Titensor or his hygienist remove soft and hard deposits that lead to cavities. The dental cleaning procedure also removes tartar build up between dental visits. No matter how hard you try, tartar still builds up along the gum line even with careful brushing and flossing at home each day. You want to visit Dr.Titensor as often as he recommends, but if you are concern about any of the following dental issues, please call to schedule your dental cleaning sooner.

From A Patient:

The best oral prophylaxis! I've been a patient for several years now, and most recently, Kathy used an ultrasonic, water-rinsing scaler to remove tarter and plaque. It almost tickles and the water rinses everything away. No more scraping on my teeth with a pick! All of the staff is friendly and efficient. The best dentist in the metroplex.

Is Dental Teeth Cleaning Painful?

Titensor Dental recognizes the negative reputation and stereotypes associated with dentist and dental procedures. Once you schedule your teeth cleaning with us, you will discover our friendly staff and Dr. Titensor alleviate your concerns. Pain management comes in many forms, and we strive to make your dental experience with us pain free. We work actively to find the formula to achieve your maximum level of comfort. If you have dental anxiety, dental fear, or dental phobia we also offer sedation dentistry via laughing gas (nitrious oxide) sedation, oral sedation, and IV sedation, if needed. When you have your teeth cleaned, you take the first step towards good oral care. We do not want that step to be painful.

From A Patient

Great Dentist and Hygienists. I had been going to Dr Titensor for about 10 years and we recently moved about 30 minutes from his office so I decided to try a dentist closer to where I lived. That dentist was OK, but he was no "Dr. T". I have now gone back to Dr. Titensor and don't ever plan on leaving. Kathi our hygienists is the best there is.
